Members can face obstacles in managing the broad spectrum of responsibilities associated with safety. Often, there can appear to be a conflict or duplication of effort in addressing productivity, safety, host requirements, government regulations and industry consensus standards, such as the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.

To discuss those issues, an upcoming webinar hosted by the National Electrical Contractors Association will be held on Tuesday, April 25. It will begin at 1:00 pm EDT (10:00 am PDT).

The webinar will serve as an overview of NECA’s safety publications and digital programs that have been updated to reflect NFPA 70E changes and recent Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. The speakers will be Wes Wheeler, NECA’s Director of Safety, and Joe O’Connor, President of INTEC.

“The new updates to NECA’s safety manual and programs like our NFPA 70E Guides and eSafetyLine will help members better overcome challenges,” Wheeler said. “Our webinar will identify each of the updated programs, talk about how the new materials are designed and describe opportunities for enhanced services,as well as special offers available to NECA Chapters.”

“By continuing to update NECA publications and offering some expanded guides and services related to pre-qualifications, NECA can help our members achieve excellence in safety,” he added.
