Doxel&rsquo;s construction bot literally roams the construction site monitoring a project&rsquo;s accuracy and adherence to schedule down to the millimeter, according to Mary Tyler March of Construction Dive. Using LIDAR imaging to scan site progress with accuracy, Doxel reduced health care company Kaiser Permanente&rsquo;s recent construction budget by 11% and increased project productivity by 38%.&nbsp;<br />

<p>The construction industry has a well-documented productivity problem. It is estimated that over the next 40 years, automation will displace nearly 3 million construction workers. But, worker safety will also increase due to technological advances and automation in construction. There is a <a href="">robot being used to tie rebar on bridge decks</a>, while a new autonomous track loader is being tested to excavate holes for building foundations. Strenuous and often dangerous jobs for humans are being tasked to robots and allowing humans to concentrate on other aspects of construction improving productivity, safety and profitability.<br />
